Kimberly Johnson, Licensed Associate Counselor
Kim Johnson is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and trauma therapist in New Jersey. She received her B.A. in Psychology in 2004 from Stony Brook University, received a M.S. in Counseling from Syracuse University in 2011 and is PhD a candidate in Educational Psychology at Regent University. She has extensive experience as a program director in various homeless shelters in NYC for individuals with severe mental illnesses, co-occurring substance use and domestic violence. She currently works as a Psychology professor at Molloy University where she teaches courses such as Biopsychology and Psychological assessments. She has a passion for the field of counseling and specifically human development through each life stage.
As a trauma therapist in New Jersey, she has experience working with young adults and adults who were managing a variety of mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, anxiety and more.
